Stop Living Like the World You’re Called to Rule

Most professing Christians today would fail Christ’s own test of discipleship.

They sing worship songs on Sunday, then binge the world’s entertainment, chase its careers, and parrot its values all week. That’s not discipleship. That’s deception.

God commands His people to come out of the world’s system—not to hide from it, but to prove their loyalty to Christ’s government and prepare for the day they will rule with Him.

1. The World Is Under Satan’s Control

“The whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19).

The Bible doesn’t flatter human civilization. Its politics, entertainment, and education are shaped by rebellion against God.

When you “love the world” (James 4:4), you aren’t just indulging culture—you’re pledging allegiance to Satan’s government.

2. God’s Call Is Urgent

“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4).

Babylon—the system of false religion, corrupt commerce, and lawless politics—will collapse.

This isn’t a polite invitation. It’s a survival command. If you stay tied to Babylon, you’ll fall with it.

3. Separation Is Loyalty, Not Isolation

Christ prayed: “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one”(John 17:15).

Separation doesn’t mean quitting your job and moving to a cave. It means living as an ambassador (Philippians 3:20). You’re in a foreign land, but your allegiance is to the Kingdom of God, not to the shifting standards of society.

4. What the World Actually Looks Like

The Greek word kosmos means the organized system of human civilization in rebellion against God.

That system shows up in:

  • Entertainment that glorifies sin
  • “Christian” holidays that have their roots in paganism
  • Business practices that exalt profit over righteousness
  • Politics that reject God’s law
  • Education that denies absolute truth
  • Social movements that rewrite morality

When God says “come out,” He means: stop feeding, funding, and following systems that hate His Kingdom.

5. Separation Prepares You for Rulership

Revelation 5:10 says God is preparing His people to “reign on the earth.” You cannot train for that future while conforming to the world today.

Every time you refuse compromise—whether in speech, relationships, or career—you rehearse loyalty to Christ. Every act of obedience under pressure is practice for rulership in His coming government.

Conclusion

Neutrality doesn’t exist. You’re either entangled with Babylon—or you’re training for the Kingdom of God.

The stakes are eternal. Christ is returning to establish His throne. Only those who have separated from this world will be qualified to rule with Him.

Here’s What You Must Do

Audit your life this week. Where are you still copying the world—your media, your money, your friendships, your goals? Break one tie. Cut one compromise. Step one move closer to holiness.

God is building His government. Don’t waste your training on the wrong kingdom.
