What God Does Before the Rest of the World Gets Its Chance

Last week’s essay made a promise it did not have room to keep.

Your neighbor who died without ever hearing the truth was not passed over forever. His turn comes later. Later when? By what process?

A God who says “later” without a schedule is only being polite. But He published the schedule. At Christ’s return, the trumpet sounds and the firstfruits are resurrected and gathered. Three more festivals come after it, and most of the Christian world has never kept any of them.

God’s plan does not end with the church. The last three annual festivals — the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles, and the Last Great Day — show how Yeshua (Jesus) opens salvation to the rest of humanity. They also show the order:

The deceiver is removed first.

The world is governed and taught second.

The uncalled dead are raised last.

Atonement Removes the One Behind the Sin

Atonement means reconciliation — being made at one with God. The ritual required two goats. The high priest cast lots: one lot for the LORD and the other lot for [Azazel] (Leviticus 16:8). He killed the first goat and carried its blood inside the veil.

That goat pictures Christ, whose death pays the penalty for sin. He never killed the second goat and never offered its blood. He confessed Israel’s sins over its head, and a suitable man drove it away alive into the wilderness (Leviticus 16:21).

Two goats, two functions.

The second goat represents Azazel — which pictures Satan the devil. Revelation shows whom God removes after Christ returns. An angel binds Satan, who deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9), so that he should deceive the nations no more (Revelation 20:2–3). The Blood Did Not Deal With Pharaoh (Week 34) showed that God’s covering spares His people without removing their oppressor. This is the day He finally removes him.

Tabernacles Pictures the World Under Christ’s Government

For seven days Israel lived in booths. God commanded it so later generations would know He had made Israel dwell in booths when He brought them out of Egypt (Leviticus 23:42–43). A booth is not a house. Nobody builds one intending to stay there indefinitely.

The feast also points forward. Zechariah places it after Christ returns, when everyone left of the nations must go up from year to year to worship the King and keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16). Nations that never obeyed God will be taught to keep His festivals. That is what the seven days picture — a thousand years of humanity living under a government that finally teaches and lives the truth. Peace and prosperity will then prevail.

The Eighth Day Is for the Uncalled Dead

A separate festival follows the seven: On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation (Leviticus 23:36). It stands outside the seven days and has its own assembly. The position is the point. Revelation confirms the timing: the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished (Revelation 20:5).

Christ kept this day. On the last day, that great day of the feast, [Yeshua] stood and cried out (John 7:37), inviting anyone who thirsts to come and drink. Ezekiel shows how that invitation reaches the dead. God opens their graves (Ezekiel 37:12), then promises, I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live (Ezekiel 37:14). This is not a resurrection to sentencing. It is a resurrection to opportunity. Why God Is Calling Only a Few Right Now (Week 35) established that most of humanity has never been called yet. The eighth day is when God calls them.

Why This Matters for the Kingdom

The order is important. God removes the deceiver before He teaches the nations. He teaches the nations before He raises the uncalled dead. Every step prepares them to understand the truth and make a real choice. A gospel that ends at Christ’s return has no room for any of it.

Conclusion

Remove the deceiver.

Govern the world in truth.

Then raise the billions who never heard and put God’s Spirit in them.

That sequence is not a loophole added at the end of the plan. It was built into the calendar from the beginning, and mainstream Christianity dropped the three holy day observances that carry it. Together, they show how God’s justice unfolds.

God is not trying to save everyone now. But He has not forgotten anyone.
